Amazing $30 Cartography Humble Bundle Represents a Online Gaming GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection has returned for a limited time available until Dec. 2. Described as an extensive collection of mapping tools created by a specialized software company throughout their history, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely permanent access for Campaign Cartographer 3+, an industry-standard mapping application which enables users to create everything from epic fantasy landscapes, detailed regional charts, urban layouts, and most notably, tactical combat environments.

An imaginative landscape chart created using Campaign Cartographer 3+.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland, Token Treasury: Monsters 1, Source Maps: Castles!, and Source Maps: Cities!. This one's only for existing CC3+ users, but it does offer fresh fantasy design elements for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five top-down castle layouts with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-item bundle starting at fifteen dollars is where things get more interesting by adding in a lifetime CC3+ license, Cartographer's Annual Vol 1, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, and Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities. The Annual represents the annual collection from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes a variety CC3+ add-ons including map packs and various other tools. Isometric Cities lets you display cities with an extra dimension using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping comprises 760 pages for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions for the map-making process.

Complete Collection

Starting at thirty dollars, the comprehensive package includes all the following:

  • Fractal Terrains 3+
  • Dungeon Designer 3
  • Urban Planning Software
  • Cosmographer 3
  • Perspectives 3
  • Dioramas 3
  • Character Design Module
  • Fantasy Interior Symbols
  • Symbol Set 3: Modern
  • Schley Dungeon Collection
  • Schley Urban Pack
  • Token Treasury: Monsters 2
  • Source Maps: Temples, Tombs and Catacombs
  • World War 2 Interactive Atlas
  • World Builder’s Compendium
  • Cartographer’s Annual Vol 1-17
  • Permanent CC3+ Access
  • Symbol Set 6: Isometric Cities
  • Comprehensive Mapping Guide
  • Symbol Set 1: Fantasy Overland
  • Monster Token Set 1
  • Fortress Source Maps
  • Source Maps: Cities!

All 17 volumes of Cartographer's Annual are included here, alongside a slew of additional tools and content enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on traditional fantasy world-building: battle maps, underground complexes, cities, and continents from almost any perspective. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the full bundle is so worth it, particularly for mappers who have only the annual CC3+ license and want to upgrade to lifetime. However, it's clearly more advantageous for map-making newbies since it includes the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The one caveat here though you can redeem the deal on any platform, the applications only function with Windows systems.

Philanthropic Aspect

Similar to previous bundles, a portion of each sale supports charitable organizations. In this instance, the beneficiary is Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide via educational programs, medical services, and crisis response. Package customization options appear near the page top, but you can also select any amount for a donation on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, enabling adjustment of the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
