Chopper Spirals Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Frequented California Shoreline
A chopper flying above a well-attended southern California shoreline unexpectedly commenced twirling uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a line of palm trees as spectators observed.
Footage shared on the internet depict the chopper beginning to twirl above the beach then plunging in the direction of the border of the beach, where it gets stuck amidst palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Update
Emergency responders said five people were taken to hospital involving a pair who were in the helicopter and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” subsequent to the accident on the weekend.
Three persons on the pavement were harmed. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
