The young golfer will have multiple well-known supporters as she starts her LPGA debut this Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who happens to be related to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at the Annika competition in Florida.
The former president, an avid golfer, possesses numerous courses worldwide and regularly matches against Kai.
"He's pretty good. I can't reveal details but we play tight competitions," she revealed.
Kai explained that her grandfather, unable to come, told her: "Just stay calm."
"My grandpa basically suggested to compete and enjoy myself," she explained.
"From my perspective, he's simply an ordinary family member. He can't make it this weekend. He's occupied with running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions this year and maintains ranking 461 in AJGA rankings.
However she can seek guidance from golf legend, in a relationship with Vanessa.
"He stands as the greatest golfer in the world," Kai stated.
"Additionally, he's a more impressive human being. He suggested me to go out there, relax, adapting to whatever happens."
Kai will face multiple top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
Officials mentioned that involving Kai exposes the sport to wider groups, especially among the next generation.
